BillKar mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
When you use BillKar, we may collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When you sign in via Google Authentication or email, we collect
your name, email address, and profile picture provided by the authentication provider.
- Business Information: Shop details, item inventory, pricing, and billing history that
you input into the app.
- Device Permissions:
- Contacts: With your explicit permission, we access your device's contacts
solely for the purpose of allowing you to quickly select and add a customer's name and phone
number to a bill. We do not upload, sync, or store your entire contact list on our servers.
- Camera/Gallery: With your permission, we access your device's camera and photo
gallery to allow you to upload shop logos and scan item images for expiry date extraction.
- Usage Data: Anonymous analytics data detailing how you interact with the app to help us
improve user experience and fix crashes.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the BillKar application and its core billing functionality.
- Safely synchronize your business data across your devices using Google Firebase.
- Facilitate the creation of customer bills and invoices.
- Communicate with you regarding app updates, issues, or support inquiries.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is securely stored using Google Firebase Cloud Firestore and local device storage. We implement
industry-standard security measures, including encryption and strict access rules, to ensure your business
data is protected. Your billing and inventory data belongs to you and is not shared with third-party
advertisers.
4. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services including Google Firebase (for hosting and sync) and Google Vertex AI (for
image analysis). These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on
our behalf and are obligated not to disclose it.
5. Your Data Rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time via the in-app "Delete Account" button in
your profile settings or by visiting our Account Deletion Page.
